Title: S2000 GEN 2 Printer install on reel shelf questions

I have a chop top S2K that I want to install a printer on the reel shelf.. I picked up a GEN 2 ticket printer, but I seem to maybe be missing a part or 2 to finish the job.. It looks like I need a metal mounting plate that should screw onto the printers slide plate, and then to the printers mounting box... I'm also questioning if I have the correct cable to hook up the printer on the reel shelf installation.. I didn't notice the bad plug wiring till I took these pics.. Can someone tell me what I'm still missing?

Looks like it's only missing the bottom plate you mentioned. I have one. The wiring should be ok if you tape those bare spots. The only connector used will be the large one.

Well that's good news. My next question now is where does that large plug go? My other S2K has a different earlier printer and it uses a 8 pin plug. I see the 8 pin plug in the machine that I want to install the GEN2 printer, but not the large plug? Where does it plug in?

Printer label says Netplex but the Harness is RS232 (Bally, Aristocrat, WMS) you would also need to confirm the firmware loaded in the Printer

To confirm hold the Paper Feed button on power up of the Printer, the ticket printed will show what firmware is loaded
If it starts GRxxxxx it is RS232 firmware, if it starts GNxxxxxx then it is Netplex and good for your IGT machine

I did not notice the plug was larger. You do need to replace that harness with the correct 8 pin one if it is indeed a netplex printer.

I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't find the matching connector. I'll contact me vender about the power cord and double check with them on was version firmware it has. RB if you want to sell the mounting plate I'm interested.

Great news... I received the correct printer cable and mounting plate. Ran the start up test and my printer seems to be flashed for my S-2000. Now I just need to Key the machine and setup the printer..
