I have three older Game Kings with 3802 or 3902 boards. They all three have the WBA 10 SS BVs in them. It's a bit of a challenge to keep the older 100 dollar bills around the house just to load up credits when my friends come over. The wife sees them and she grabs them. That's a nuther discussion tho.
I've found some reprogramed WBA 13s (whole unit...head, transport, bracket). Will it be a plug and play swap or a newer harness to connect it? Will it require new programming or settings (I have the key chip)?
I see a lot of discussions about WBA 11 and up. Is this WBA 10 obsolete now?

Yes you can. You can use your old cash can and the cage. You will need to replace the harness on the back of the cage for the newer WBA 12/13. Then it is just pretty much a slide in replacement.
The WBA 10 and 11 are the same thing, the only difference is that the WBA10 uses a flash chip to store the firmware, and the WBA 11 uses an EPROM (same is true for WBA12/13). All WBA's are now obsolete as the manufacturer no longer provides any support for them. But the WBA 12/13 have the firmware that will accept all current bills, but probably not any future changes.

Thanks for the confirmation. I just hit purchase on two sets with harness # Part No.: 400-100029 . I hope that's the right harness.

What is the IDO protocol for game kings? Is it like S+ and S2000? :Scratch-Head: Older/Newer different. Don't own one and want to know. :cool_thumb_up:

You could set the bill denomination to 1c and then use a $1.00 bill to load it up with 100 credits..... beats leaving $100 bills around ...

Don't know if this is typical on all GameKings but on some of them the ID protocol is -024. It may depend on the age of the GameKing. Didn't the -024 protocol come about when the S2000 models were created? If there were GameKings around in the S+ days before S2000 came out then some older GameKings may use an older protocol (-022/-023??).

The PE+ were the video poker in the S+ Era.
PE+/S+ use 22/23 and all the S2000/Game King use 024

I was going to suggest getting a TITO board so he doesn't even have to keep any money around, but I wasn't sure if the WBA 10/11's take tickets. I don't believe they do.

The new BVs finally came in. Installed and they would not take any money. Went into setup and found the BV had a CRC mismatch. Cleared it and found new CRC. All is good now. Loaded up 400 in credit and the wife walked in from work and won't let me play. Got the second machine running...loaded it up. She's out of credits on first machine and takes over mine. I says "load some more credits". She says "all I have is newer bills. 😂

Awesome, nothing better than when things work as they should. So she only has new bills, that should no longer be an issue, LOL!

If you don't want to have to constantly feed a Gameking money, here is a trick I use on mine.....
Set up one poker game (like deuces wild) for a penny Progressive.Make it pay $30,000 for "4 of a kind".
Set the max bet on that game for 5 (Default).Set the limits to $100,000 and jackpot to $100,000.
Now play Deuces Wild until you hit a 4 of a kind (maybe 5 minutes). It will put $30,000 on the credit meter.
This removes the "W2G" stop.
