Title: need pe plus ram clear help

upgraded a pe plus game, need to do a ram clear. get cmos mismatch. when i put the ram clear chip in the program socket, i get a blank screen. the chips came with good instructions for the set chip, nothing for the clear chip.  i used the program socket, is that correct?

ps after the clear attempt, the set chip shows 25 c and BV enabled. tell me the ram didnt clear.

The CMOS Mismatch is standard when switching games and when enabling the DBV (and setting the Denomination).  You have go through the game set up again.

IE: Hold the test switch until it beeps with the door open.  Close door & do a Jackpot reset, open door hit test switch and go through settings.

If you do all that the game should work as normal once you again close the door.

You see, when you do the DBV & Denom it alters the values in the CMOS.  So when you plug in the normal game chip and start the game, the checksum doesn't match so you get an error.
