Title: 4 reel triple lucky 7's possible game change?
Post by: Hogwild6161 on September 15, 2016, 06:50:49 PM
Hey all,
Im thinking of maybe changing out the triple lucky 7s 4 reel game that I have, does anyone have any suggestions on any other 4 reel games? Haven't seen many 4 reel games around, except for ones with 3 reels plus one setup.

Thanks!

The 4 reel games are kind of rare and limited, not very popular as I rarely see them in casinos.  I would switch out the hardware for 5 reels and you would get a lot more flexibility.

I honestly didn't know there was much difference in size on the s2000 cabs. It has a 9 inch glass top to it, if that helps.

9" is what I needed to know. I know there is a triple diamond here. I will check and see what others ones we have.

Appreciate it,ohio. I don't know if it would be worth it to convert to 3 reel, I'd even think about converting to 3 and 1, if it was cost effective.

Most of the four reel single line themes are all clones of each other. That is they all use the same SB chip.
Triple lucky 7s, Red hot 7s, Triple Stars, Triple butterfly 7s.
The only change needed would be the strips and the glass.
Other one line 4 reel games that would require a SB chip along with strips and glass would be 3x4x5x pay, Triple diamond, Triple Double super stars, Triple Lucky magic 7s and Triple Strike.
There are also a number of 20 and 25 line 4 reel games of the above titles.

Sorry, I have a triple lucky sevens in a 9" so that doesn't do you any good.

Converting to a three reel machine isn't difficult. I think the reel tray and reel harness might be all that needs changed. Then the backlit reels themselves will be needed. Like the rick and qbert mention it might be the best way to go for a larger selection of game themes.

Thanks for the ideas, folks. I may end up going 3 reel if the parts are cheap.
Quick question, what is the difference in the reel shelves for the 3 reel? I've noticed one with the printer on the right side of the shelf, but haven't seen one for the printer up top. Is it the most common? Right now, the printer is in the top. With the right glass, can I just move the printer down to the shelf reel, since it will be disabled anyway?

You are better off buying what is called a long reel shelf, converting you cabinet to a short reel shelf game (printer on the side) is not as easy, it's possible, but it involves making modifications to your cabinet.  They are available for both 3 and 5 reel games.  When you buy slots kits, you then need to make sure you get the long reel glass whenever possible, especially if it is a theme that uses a unique type of reel glass.

Thank you for explaining that, if anyone has a long shelf reel that they don't need any longer, I may be your guy!

you will need the long reel shelf and the long reel glass .  you will also need a different reel harness,  two types are available, non back lit and backlit.

I have all the parts you are looking for. I will send a pm to you.    YOUR PM BOX IS FULL, CANNOT SEND YOU A PM.

I have actually seen an increase in popularity in the 4 reel machines latly. i never keep them long. Also be careful some or them(clones of each other) require an r board. Only see this on 20 line games tho.

What would be needed to change it out to a super spin sizzling 7 with bonus reel? Are the 3 main reels the same size as a regular 3 reel, or are they smaller like a 4 reel due to the room it will need for the bonus reel?

Reel shelf
3 Standard reels plus a narrow 5 reel type with light bar.
Wire Harnesses
Reel Glass

I think that is it.
