Hi Guys
I am working in a Display progressive with mikhon and linux terminal
i have the Rs232 communication between mikhon controller and linux terminal , i get the progressive information from mikhon controller, but i don't have the complete commands to get a stable communication.

What mikohn controller ?
Are you taking the data feed out of a con1 or con2 between the progressive controller and the meter controller or from where ?

I connect the cable to the [/size]mikhon [/color][/size]controller (RS422 port) [/color]
[/size]i don't use SAS meters, i sent a wake up bit to controller for RS232 and it sent me the progressive information, but the problem is when it won the jackpot, the progressive sent me bad information or i think, it needs that i send a code(command) to reset, now i only unplug power of the mikhon controller and thats all.[/color]

The 9pin serial port is an RS232 port, and you use a program called PSP (DOS) to speak to it.
The only thing special regarding the cable between the PC and the CON2I is that pins 4 & 5 CTS & RTS need to be shorted.
I am sure the communications between the PC and the CON2I just use simple ascii codes but these are not documented.
You would need to use the PSP program and take the serial output to a terminal to see what comes out for each command.
Within PSP there is a command you can use to receive the current jackpot settings, but this is not a live data stream.
If you are wanting to write a small program to do a video display you would need to repeatedly send this command. I suspect this method of communication would be very slow compared to taking one of the other output data feeds.
There are a lot of settings you can program into the CON2i but the important ones are the Current Jackpot, Max Jackpot, increment amount and reset amount. The reset amount is what would get programmed back into the system when the jackpot is won. I suspect the command you are sending is telling the CON2I to display these amounts.
The individual slots have 3 wires that connect to the controller. These are coin in + Gnd. Each time a coin or credit is played a momentary close occurs and tells the CON2I to increment. The third wire + gnd is a data line back to the slot that carries the current progressive amount. In a slot this only displays when the jackpot is won but on a video slot this displays the jackpot amount on the screen. I believe this feed may be RS422 but I have never taken the time to decode it. This comes off of a large bus that basically shares the GND and DATA lines but each slot has its own Coin-in line to the controller. When the jackpot is won - It will say something like $ 238,921 and bounce between this and 04. The $$ amount being the progressive amount won and the 04 indicating which slot won the amount.
The CON2I then uses a 2 wire output to a ChamII controller. This 2 wire feed sends the current amount to the ChamII controller. The ChamII is connected to a meter (sign) that is normally inside the slot. I remember reading some place that the current amount is sent about 10 times per second. There are other kinds of signs that can connect to the CON2I such as a Supreme which is generally a large overhead sign.
You can also program the ChamII to display messages interleaved with the progressive amounts. You do this on the CON2I (again using PSP) and when you tell it to download the messages to the ChamII it does it through this 2 wire interface.
The Supreme actually has a separate program called "downloader" and uses a PDF (progressive display file) file. This is not adobe or anything close. Probably pre-dates Adobe by 15years. This downloads graphics into the Supreme and tells it what font to display the jackpot amount etc.
