Title: what are igt s2000 slot machines really worth ?
Post by: zzbeanzz on January 28, 2017, 05:23:17 PM
hi, what is the value of our machines? i know they are worth what someone will pay but is there really a " blue book " value ? i have seen igt s-plus and s2000 's from $250-$999 . i believe it is based on the theme of the game but the parts on a unwanted game still have value. i guess i'm answering my own question but what do you think? i think $4-600 is the average price but are there hard to find or rare machines that are worth more? is there such a thing as rare when it comes to casino's? i have a strike it rich 3 reel 5 line that i have not seen many for sale so should i ask more for it? ...

I think a lot depends on what part of the US you are in, some places the machines are more easily found so prices are lower. Another thing is how familiar the buyer is with slot machines and their cost. Regulars here on NLG or other slot machine hobby forums will generally not pay as much as a newbie out there in the wild because the NLG type of person has seen the same machine or a similar one sell for less and they know if they wait or shop around they can often find a lower price. What would you pay for your machine if I was selling it - that's a good question to honestly ask yourself.

I agree, I must admit I have paid too much for a machine I had to have, I guess I am hoping that this stays a affordable hobby. prices are a lot lower than they were 5 years ago. I am in florida and the machines are very well priced here but I look at other states ads and I am shocked at how high the prices are. but we are also at the mercy of shipping costs.

I noticed a few weeks ago, in Hard Rock at Tampa, There was not a single mechanical machine on the floor. Yet, just coming back from Vegas today, I noticed S2000 in also every casino.
Supply and demand..
