Title: Powering Up Cherry Board
Post by: mateo107 on April 02, 2017, 09:22:51 AM
So, I've got two boards, one that's a Cherry Master Special Addition, 96 by Amuchine Amcoe Inc and another one that is a blue PCB with no identifiers on it.  Both were working but I need to transplant them into other cabinets.

The harness was shot in one of the units and the other had other bad components so they both came to be as boards on.

I've found the wiring schematic here: http://antelopearcade.com/files/8%20Liner%20Gambling%20Games/NEW_CERRY_'96_SE_%26_FRUIT_BONUS_'96_SE.PDF (http://antelopearcade.com/files/8%20Liner%20Gambling%20Games/NEW_CERRY_'96_SE_%26_FRUIT_BONUS_'96_SE.PDF)

If i'm reading this correctly, I should just be able to give it 12V in, 5V in and grounds as well as RGB and H/V Sync and I should at least get *SOMETHING* if the boards are good, right?  Or do all the controls need to be in place before it'll boot up?

Anybody have experience with these machines?

Thanks!
-Matt

Yes you should get the game to come up if the board is working. Don't forget to run a ground wire to the monitor as well. So its going to be GND, +5vdc, +12vdc from power supply to board and GND, RGB and SYNC from board to monitor.
