Photo files can be directly attached to a message post, just click on the "Attachments and other options" phrase that appears in green below every message post box while you are entering it. You can attach up to 5 files, each file is limited to 1mb max, and the total of all attached files on each message post is 5mb or less. The attachments are limited in size because posting a photo this way causes the photo to be stored on the NLG server and that takes up valuable space, over time overly large files consume way too much space. Also, the larger the photo file is the slower that discussion thread will load and display on your screen because the system has to transfer that image to your computer screen and no one wants a slowdown like that.
You can also do "inline" photo posting. Just upload your photo to your favorite photo hosting website, then post the link to the photo in your message post here. Some popular photo hosting websites are Imgur, Flickr and PostImage. Doing it this way there is no limit to the image size and the photo file is not being stored on the NLG server.
When you enter the link here in a message post you will need to add the img meta commands before and at the end of the photo link. Below is an example:
