Title: interface for bally playertracking vfd

im building a none slot related project that needs a display, and i have a lot of these little player tracking vfds. has anyone gotten one of them to work out side of a slot before i mainly used pic chips in my dev projects i have a wide variety of pic16 and 18 i can use.

If you pull off the bally sub board and interface to the display it will be easier to do.
On the Arduino I use LiquidCrystal Library for the oneslabeled CU200025xxxx with 14 pins 2x7 header
For the ones labeled GUxxxxxx cant remember exact part number they are a serial interface (no read from the device)

Both of them are made by Noritake and well documented on their web site you will need it for the serial one
The parallel ones are interfaced the same as the LCD's you can get with the Hitachi driver on them.

thanks for the help tho the code on the post is for a dev board i dont have so i am working on converting it to xc8 i have the display mostly working. im not sure yet if my problems are hardware or software.
