Title: S2000 Ticket Printer Problems
Post by: tjlee on June 06, 2014, 01:38:31 PM
First of all I am no expert when it comes to the S2000 slot.  I own an S2000 Double Diamond 5 reeler that won't print tickets.  All it does is give me a handpay notice on the screen.  I have brought up the config menu using the key chip and there is no 7.1.7 there allowing you to choose to use the printer or the hopper.  This slot is coinless.  I know it is something simple I am overlooking as my other S2000 slots print tickets fine.  Any ideas??  Double Diamond Respin -- Chips SB100534  SG000198 VS009GX0 DSV00082 Using a 502 game board.  :thank_you:  :waving_flag:

Not 100% sure. But pretty sure you need to enable  key configuration 2. But have to do it with key chip

Well if the printer is enabled then that's not a issue. Maybe try under split pay under options make sure it's disabled

And check your jackpot limit setting in menu 3, you don't need to key it for that, but you will have to clear the credits to change it

Neon,
If he has a TITO device he will need to set SAS up according to the TITOs provider.

Look at your Setting and make sure they match.

TITO System Settings (http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=319.msg911#msg911)

Also restart the TITO system

Neon,
If he has a TITO device he will need to set SAS up according to the TITOs provider.
True, but I didn't see where he said he has a TITO device. If he sets it up with enhanced validation and has no TITO he will get errors.

So first question is.... Are you using a TITO system?

Yes, I am running a TITO system on my slots.  I did what was suggested and I am still getting nothing out of the printer and printer will print a test ticket so it is working OK.  It keeps going to Handpay when  you hit the cash button.  I will give it another try later today. Too many projects to get done around here before I do this.   THanks for all the suggestions and anything else you can think of.  If I can get it to work I will post it here.  TJ

TJLee

Please post your settings under 7.2 for printer and validation
Also your setting 3 Options, communications for SAS And Bally

If one of them odes not match the TITO setting as I posted, all the TITO system sold on here will not function correctly and will cause the machine to go into hand pay on cash out.

Also coinless mode forces hopper limit to 0.00.  Note my machine has a hopper limit of 0.00 and it does TITO correctly, any other setting might make the machine try to activate a non existent hopper which will cause more problems.

I believe you need to set 7.2.5 to "coinless mode disabled".
You will need to use your key chip, make sure no credits are on the machine when you key it.
This is how mine are set, but I do use coins I have not tried them in coinless

One more thought. Are you sure the printer is loaded correctly with paper?
I did not see anywhere that you said the printer would print test OK.
If your system is set with printer "soft tilt" the game will still play, but will go right to hand pay when you try to cash out.
I had one driving me crazy and it turned out to be a paper problem.

Hope this helps
Rich

It prints a test ticket ok. I do not have a 7.1.7 option in my config menus. This allows u to choose printer or hopper for output. I have cleared several times and still no option 7.1.7.  Would this be controlled by SG chips???

On my machines 7.1.7 is tokenazation and you would only get that if coinless mode was disabled.
Not sure what you would get with coinless enabled as all my machines have coin handling.

Success--I needed to set the coinless mode to disable and the hopper limits to "0" as I have no hopper in this machine.   Printer works like a charm.  Thanks guys for the guidance.  TJ   :applause:  :waving_flag:
