Title: 504 board E23/D3 jumper

Does anyone know the purpose of the jumper from D3 to E23?? Most all the boards I have here have that jumper in place except for one, all are same model same REV. wondering if this could be my eeprom error problem

I did some looking at boards and prints. I am not able to determine the purpose of the jumper. What I found - the D3 side is VCC ground, E23 goes to U68 pin 30 an I/O pin on chip, E23 on - 500 boards is left floating, 502 boards it is grounded and the print I looked at (512) it is grounded.

I will assume it was decided to ground the pin in later revisions for some reason, maybe stability?

I don't believe it would have anything to do with eprom (eeprom) errors.

Print you mean schematic ??? If so care to share the drawing ?? I have a few here with acid damage I’m working on the drawing would help greatly
