Title: ram error question / battery replacement

ok 1st  pic is of game and then board. ok so when game was turned on  it said ram error so i check battery voltage none so i replaced battery.i also cut off the varta battery because every one says to do that.that it is not need.so installed board turn game on turned the reset key and got  messages every time turned 1. GAME EPROM CRC MISMATCH 0xbooooo1 2.  NON-RECOVERABLE DATA ERROR 3. SOME CRITICAL DATA WILL BE LOST.then game said hold test button 3 seconds the got close door message.i did and nothing happens just says close door.where i pointing is where the varta battery was .any help would be appreciated.do i need to installed the varta battery or do a ram clear/key set up or maybe, door opts ?

If closing the door after holding the reset button on the mpu for 3 seconds does nothing, I suspect your door optics are either not lining up, or they are bad.  Try doing the optic bypass to see if you are able to go pass the open door M.

Why does your mpu have a chip in the SS socket & nothing in the Version socket?

 Watching    I just got the same problem   S2000   bought 2 new 1270 Enhanced boards   tested working,    Both brds same problem close door light will not clear with door closed        turned key 4x   then white button 3 seconds

Move the one in the center top to the blank spot right under it.

did you notice chip is smaller then socket too.does that matter.if so  i take it you want the grooved part of chip to edge of chip holder or off center like it is now

No I didn't.  Leave it there ( I guess that's a sb1000 where it says dd 2cm)  You need to add a version chip in socket below it.

i did the optic by pass no help.got the chip the board needed still no help.i got a a newer board problem solved as for getting to fire up.thanks everyone
