Title: Stuck Currency
Post by: irascible51 on March 12, 2021, 10:35:06 AM

Got the "Cash Out" dilemma corrected (Chip Cleared)   Came up with a validator was up with looking for EURO's.   Tried to clear chipped IVC 00024.....looked only worked I think it was 40 or 45.

Opened up operator menu's:     Came up "SetUp", then "Machine", Currently SetUp" and then "Currency Symbol" (At Euro Symbol "1"),

Then options were either "Previous" or "Next"  buttons.     Neither shoulld have been (I thought) chooses to change back to U.S. Dollars.   Neither did anything.....didin't move to open up.  Nothing.

What am I missing here.   Please help....could need a monitor too but haven't been able to use it to play at all.

                                                                                                  Thanks all as usual,

                                                                                                    Robert P.

It sounds like you have a Canadian or European bill acceptor?

Is it a JCM DBV-200?

If it has an embedded chip on a circuit board underneath, it can be re-flashed to take the newer USD currency.

You may need to send out the main unit body to one of our members that has the ability to hook it up to a computer to re-flash the chip.

     Hey Mark,

Hmmm....it used to work and did U.S. Dollars I tried to reboot unfortunately that included the Cash Out button that I was able to do everything almost other than to no longer able to interpret dicipher U.S. Dollars.     Yeah, I was able to play the machine until I pushed that Cash Out.

If it had been a Canadian or Europeon valalidator would have none it would have been right from the start you think?

Yeah...I didn't know if this worked before or not.
It sounds like something got changed in the settings.

I didn't even know that you change it to another currency...hah

Let me check some sheets and see if I can find something in the options....that's weird eh?

oh..other thing...just to be "clear" haha

When you said you clear chipped with an IVC 00024...you meant IVC0224 right?

S2000 is a stepper game. Texas Tea is an I Game. You must be using international software.
You should have set it up for US currency while in the key chip menu. See attached PSR.

I didn't know there was an S2000 variant of Texas Tea, I thought it was an iGame+ only type of game.

What would the "$A" currency setting be?  :scratch-head_3: "American"?
Maybe you could try that one in the option settings after clearing the machine again?
If not, then I have to bring you an American chip for Texas Tea...I have it here.
