I am assuming this is an alpha 2.  How did you "clear" the machine?

I used a clear card and yes it is a Bally Alpha Pro

It is not necessary to use a clear card when changing games.  You just install the new one. The process will erase the old game, install the new one, and clear the machine.  The error you are getting appears to be a corrupt cf card issue.  Do you have another game to try?

No unfortunately I do not have another game to try. Also
I was told when changing games you always had to use the clear card anytime you changed games.

You were misinformed.  The clear is only useful to setup the same game again, or when you have an error which requires a clear, like bad NVRAM.  Changing games only requires the use of the install card.  As explained earlier, the install process clears the game at the end, so there's no need to clear the game before hand, it doesn't do any harm, it is just an unnecessary step.

What game are you trying to install anyway, the game id you posted does not come up on my list of firmware id's.

How did you "clear" your machine?  Did you use the install CF and do a factory reset?  You have no OS on your drive, that is why you are getting a partition error.  You have to install an OS and then the game for it to work right.
