Title: What do you charge for in-home repair?
Post by: jonbbrew on June 12, 2023, 04:28:52 PM
As i learn more about slots through many folks here on this forum, i try to return the favor and pay it forward to help folks too. My question is, if someone isnt savy enough to do some of the basic checks, i am considering going to their home as they are searching for someone to help them. I would be open to that but also know that with gas prices, time, etc. it can cost some money out of my pocket. I dont want to pretend i am a professional, but what is the going rate for someone to go to ones house to troubleshoot a slot, then what do folks charge for time afterwards? Obviously parts would be marked up etc. Just trying to get an idea...as people keep asking me in my area if i can come repair their machines.

PS I have no idea if this is the right place to post this or not....

I personally would never do in home repair the people i know that do do it seem to have a lot of issues. The people i do know that do it usually charge 80 to $150 trip fee plus whatever the repair is unless it’s something simple like a battery.
