Title: SIMM flash memory programmer
Post by: brian53022 on February 16, 2015, 02:08:40 PM: I've been wanting to tinker with the DSV sound SIMMs in an S2000 slot machine. Has anyone tried one of these cheaper SIMM programmers?

I was always under the impression a SIMM programmer would be $1K+. I'm hoping someone with experience could indicate if this would be able to read the DSV SIMMs and write to them.

Post by: rickhunter on February 16, 2015, 03:17:43 PM: There isn't enough detail on the description to verify if it will work with IGT simms. IGT Simms are not standard simms, and I know there are a variety of flash simms available for other applications. All the other IGT simm programmers I have seen have been more involved that just a usb controller and some sort of SOC on the pcb.
