Here is some stuff I do when not dinking around with slots.
The world's first (?) solar cast bullets, done on the shortest day of the year.
I don't get much into guns, but do enjoy casting bullets and doing other solar stuff.

Now that's cool, well err... hot.  That reflector focused enough solar energy to melt lead?  All I ever did was fry ants with a magnifying glass when I was a kid  :propeller:

It measures just under 1/2 inch in diameter, so is that like getting near to 50 Cal???
Like I say, not a gun person so I'm not knowledgeable.
Looking for a round mold, want to get into slings personally, as I am getting ready to put the webbing into my first one.  Slinging golf balls is next, want to see if I can beat my 3 wood for distance...

Sure enough is.  Might be able to blast that in my .500 Magnum.  The cartridge on the right is a puny .357 magnum.

Got an award at work... used it and $12.09 out of pocket to pick up a new CHL pistol - Kahr CW40, an IWB holster, and a box of ammo. It's a tiny, easy to carry/conceal pistol with a big hole at the business end.

Oh, and Kahr is offering a free magazine with the purchase of a C series pistol. Mailed them the form last Monday and today I have a Delivery Confirmation number from them. That was FAST! The form said 4 to 6 weeks and they aren't messing around with waiting that long. :D

I debate the relevancy of the second amendment as it pertains to guns.

When the amendment was written - it was designed to protect against a totalitarian government.

Well guess what - the government has such overwhelming power that your best gun is not able to guarentee your rights and freedoms. In fact your best weapon may now be social media.

Except it takes a battle to take peoples guns, it only takes a flick of a switch to take away social media. And although the final outcome is completely different when either of the two is used in the wrong way, people do far dumber sh&t far more often on social media than they do with guns. Besides, which is a bigger deterrent? I don't know you but I'm gonna shoot you if you break in my house or, I don't know you but I'm gonna talk about it on social media if you break into my house? The second amendment is for us to be able to protect ourselves and the country if needed. And no, I don't own a weapon because I don't hunt and live in an area where I don't feel the need to have one handy, but if I change my mind I can get one easily enough and I am a very good shot. National Rifle Matches, Camp Perry, Ohio, 1979  I do make the effort to practice occassionally. Final words, in the long run, if things went to he'll and push came to shove I would rather go down shooting than typing.

My point is The government can make you disappear and erase any trace that you ever existed.

This is a lot different than a government army siezing your land in 1798 and you and your well armed melitia deciding to take it back.  Modern day examples of this such as Ruby Ridge, Bundy Ranch is a farce.

I far more believe in the right to carry - under protect your castle legislation than I do second amendment.
They say when seconds cout the police are only minuites away.

OK, guys and gals, it's that time of the year again. I will be heading to the Knob Creek Machinegun shoot down by Louisville, KY on the weekend of Oct 10-12. If anyone else is gonna be out there, give me a shout and we can meet up if you want. Hope it's gonna be dry, don't care if it's cold. Later!
