50 gallons of water alone is a little over 400 lbs, more than enough for most machines. These stands can probably hold around 500 lbs at least. The 80 gallon ones would give you a LOT of headroom.

well...a 55 gallon steel drum is 35 inches high and 23 inches round...that equals 58??? :24:

What a great idea. You saved me some money, thanks.
-
I will be picking one up tomorrow!
-
Picked one up at Menard's for about 40.00. Great idea! With lumber prices now days it be at least double probably more to build one.
-
Nice Idea! Just ordered one from Home Depot, $35. Have one slot currently sitting on the floor, problem solved.
-
how are the edges on these? Was considering one but was concerned about the edges. I'd end up putting something under the legs to protect the floor so no worries there. More concerned about fingers and toes getting sliced up. LOL! Thanks for any replies in advance.

The edges are not sharp, I don't think you have to worry about getting cut, I could see getting a good scrape if you rubbed a foot or hand against it, but that's possible on about any edge. Hope this helps.
