Im planning on moving a 3 reel IGT slot across the Country.
I am taking the front glass out and taking them with me (they cannot be replaced with the graphics on there now.)
I also plan on removing the light tubes to prevent them from breaking and making a huge mess.
Im putting the slot in a PODS container so there will be some jostling around, is there anything else I need to secure before moving it(like the reels maybe?)

I took 3 S+ slots and and a PE+ from PA to Western Canada by Semi.
I took the tokens out of the hoppers and put them in a couple of boxes.
I have 10,000 in total with about 1000 per machine. They way a ton.
You don't want any coins/tokens/etc getting jostled and ending up under various boards etc.
I removed the glass as you did. I typically double box my glass.
I wrap it loosely in bubble wrap and put it in a box with foam peanuts.
Typically I will put no more than 4 pieces of glass in one box.
I then take a larger box put down a layer of either crumpled paper or peanuts, and put the box inside.
stuff the sides with old foam, peanuts, crumpled paper, repeat on top and tape it up.
I haven't lost any glass yet.
I removed my MPU's and put them in boxes upside down. I did this for two reasons.
1. I was expecting to leave the machines off for about a year while I built out the basement in the new home and I didn't want any battery mess on my boards if for some reason they leaked. I wrapped these in paper towel before boxing them - again facing down so if they leaked the mess went away from the board.
2. I was crossing the boarder - You never know what customs will think of a bunch of slots. They are theoretically legal in Canada as long as they are not being used for gambling, that definition however can be interrupted in a 100 ways and all you need is one jerk at the boarder. It doesn't sound like your crossing boarders but depending on where your travelling different states have different ownership laws and if you get stopped and searched - who knows. My plan was to show the machines as non functional animated lamps.
I also took my toppers and candles off as they are pretty light weight at best and pretty much anything could knock them off/break them.

I would remove the hoppers as well. If you remove the MPU's, I recommend sealing them in antistatic bags. Remove tickets from the printer.
When crossing borders, I always wrap my machine in black shrink wrap. It's more discrete and it offers some protection.

If you're putting them in a POD container, make sure they're secured to a pallet and cannot move an inch inside the POD.
Strap them to the wall if possible?

On an S+ there is only one battery and if you have it on a holder than unclipping does the trick.

Just a question. Would you recommend a shipping/moving company to palet everything for you?

Not in my case. I am using a POD anyway so I will just secure it in the back of that.
But I do know they get shipped on pallets all the time.

I shipped mine on pallets, you can get two machines back to back (or in my case front to front) on a pallet.
As I outlined earlier I had removed my glass and candles and then shipped them front to front so there were flat backs facing outwards which made stacking other boxes around them cleaner.
It really comes down to what kind of vehicle and tools you have to move the machines around. I was moving a full container full of stuff with a professional moving company.
They had a pallet jack and a hydraulic lift on the truck, and this made it look easy. If you are using ramps that are not designed for a pallet jack (typically wrong or too steep an angle) then using a dolly and moving them one at a time is going to the sensible approach. When I picked up my first machine I simply layed it on its back in my minivan.
