I have cds video machine I been working on.
At first it would power on and play music with no video.
I pluged a old school computer crt monitor and now I get video.
I plan on trying to fix the other monitor.
My question now is about the bill validator.
Is there a wiring harness that plugs into the back of the bill validator?
All I have coming off the board is a square 4 pin connector that labeled bill validator...

Need pictures. I assume this is a BV that was already in the machine?
Show the connector. Show the BV, Is the connector coming from the backplane or the BV itself?
There is a connector on the backplane, it should say Bill Validator. Show a picture of that too.
Manuals for the machine are in the Files section. Nice to have if you do not have them already. I don't think it covers the BV connector though.

Will try to upload pics.
The plug is coming off the backplane . It's a square 4 pin connector.
Yes the bv came with the machine.
I have all the cds manuals off of here.
But there is not one for the top dog machine.

Thanks. Can you now post some pics of the BV you have?
I take it there is no matching plug for them to plug in to each other? There are plugs but they are "different".
I think your BV is a JCM RS232 type (same used in WMS). If so, I am guessing someone took the cable that goes between the two.
Can you confirm my hunch?

I think we need to loop in some WBA guy(s)... There is another forum on here for Bill Validators, I suggest making a post over there asking for the harness to go from the white plug to the BV head. Show the same pictures.
Hope this helps.

I don’t remember pinouts but a wile back i had to make an adapter to convert a cds from wba 10/11 to 12/13. The acceptor is id03 i don’t remember it being rs232 but i may be wrong. The connector if the picture does look to be correct. I made my adapter using the stock 10/11 harness and a 12/13 harness from an igt.
