Bally game maker v7000 bar top help
« on: March 17, 2023, 01:18:50 AM »
So I picked up a Bally game maker V7000 bar top for $50

Has a coin hopper but no coin mech

When I first got the machine  would barley turn on

Fixed a couple of bad Caps on the power supply
And it would boot up

I bought a clear chip for it  cleared the game settings

Had a coin hopper error (it would keep running backwards )took the coin hopper apart and got that error to disappear guessing it was a bad connection ?

Haven’t been able to get the DBV-200 bill validator working  just turns on runs for a bit and will take a bill in and just stop with the bill part way in  tried $1 ,$5 , $10 , $20 , $50 bills with no luck
All the dip switches are in the off position

Is this an issue with the bill validator ?

Or do I have something set up wrong ?

Just kind of stumped with This machine

Forgot to put in the post

Cleaned the bill head  with glass cleaner didn't change anything
Checked all the capacitor’s in the billhead all seamed fine

Pulled all of the connectors in the machine  and reseated them all  since it looked like a mouse or rat was in the machine at some point in the past

The attached photo was where all the dip switches were originally on the DBV  bill validator

I picked up a few more game makers

Tested the bill validator and it works in the other machines

So I guessing it’s a power supply issue/bad MPU ?
