Title: Suzo-Happ shipping
Post by: Lizzo54 on October 16, 2014, 07:36:07 PM
I just received my email confirmation of shipping for an order of 40 mini bulbs for 18.30  Shipping and handling $17.86! with ground delivery.   Freakin riduculous.  The package weighs .30 lbs.
I just sent a 11lb large package roughly the same distance for $10.80.

THe added salt to the wound was the one day sale banner in the email for the bulbs i just bought.

That is why I always quote the product + mystery shipping charge.  There is an option for a flat rate shipping, though it IS $15 for orders betwwen 0 and $100.  Though it gets better as you spend more, but it still does not justifiy how hight their rates are for small orders.  I bought a pair of monitors once and it was only like $30 to ship using their flat rate option, which changes based on the amount range of the invoice.

suzzo offers free shipping on $300 orders or more - there shipping for SMALL orders is atrocious - guess they try to discourage small orders.

I have ordered from them in the past. I always call the order in and demand to know what the shipping charge is. I let them know if the shipping is to much they can cancel the order. If it is small parts I ask them to use small flat rate box for like $5.50 Other wise you will get  :hissyfit:
