Hello all.
Just joined the forum, so noob here. I work in electronics, but I have never dealt with slot machines before. I recently acquired a Bally E2242-63 slot machine. It would work after a little messing with when I first got it. Now I cannot proceed after the first spin.
I can power it up and reset the machine so it accepts coins. However, when I pull, all three reels spin, stop, and then it just sits there. No error codes. The Insert Coin light remains off and will not accept coins. The LCD displays 1000 after the first spin. Nothing else happens.
I'm hoping someone here can point me in a direction for troubleshooting. I do have a service manual with schematics, so the helps, at least. I just would like a place to start checking.

Hey welcome. I'm new to Slots as well; I was a bench tech in the USCG. Let's have a look at the inside too, only because there seems to be so many different machines.
You have the Test and Reset buttons next to the hopper, right? The "Test" button (the one on the right) should cycle you thru a number of different tests, something like 8 of them. Press 1x to do Test 1, press 2x for Test 2, press 3x...etc. Don't do Test 2, that might blow a fuse, but do all the others and record your results. Post back here for help.
Look around for the Bally-e-series-service-booklet that explains the tests you're running on page 5.

For some reason, I didn't notice the pic. The display means you've inserted 1 coin and were paid out 0 in winnings. So nothing unusual there. Running the tests may help narrow it down.
