Post by: drunktek on February 01, 2024, 01:39:37 PM

Enable progressive, then choose mikohn.  Everything else has to be programmed separately into the mikohn box.  If that top box has/needs a new battery it will have to be re-programmed afterwards.

Check harnesses and power supply.

Harness and  ps are fine as the mikohn recieves the credit singals it just isnt getting a JP signal from machine. Its a machine setting for sure

OK probably is, I thought you had an alpha.  I don't even mess with older ballys anymore.  That 6000 game is also on alpha.

Yes I set them up just like you would set up any progressive on a 6000. There is just a setting I seem to be missing that isnt sending a JP signal to the Mikohn

Is there a jackpot relay chip in the socket on the backplane?

Yes sir. The machine worked fine but hasnt been on in a couple years so had to replace battery and clear. Now after setting it up I appear to be missing 1 important setting in the setup

it's always a good idea to post your settings when troubleshooting.

in the machine settings, make sure option:
2 may either be 04 or 05, usually 04 (your setting should be fine as you said it's incrementing)
7 is set to 02, this is what directs it to the scattered, and is probably what you need to fix
18 should be 01
the rest are the usual.

Thanks,
Wayne

Sorry was away from home on biz but the setting are as follows
2  4
7   2
18  1

Machine still does not trigger the mikohn. Could the jackpot relay have gone bad?

I assume if I want to change that option I would have to do a clear?

From memory,  I don't think a clear is necessary.  No credits on the machine though.

Thanks,
Wayne
