hi all,
can anyone here guide me through bb1 stepper setup, any help would be much appreciated

There's a WMS Blue Bird Upright Video.pdf manual in the NLG File System.
Have you looked at it?
Has everything you want to know about configuring the game on a BBI starting on Page 53.

Other than the physical installation of the strips, the configuration for the stepper and the video are exactly the same.

ok thanks. i'm definately doing something wrong then about half way through the setup the machine goes in to tilt.

Now would be a good time to tell us what numbers are on the software you're trying to install.
Mismatching software never works.
Get the numbers off of these...>>>
OS and Game CF Card
Boot EPROM
Jurisdictional ID Chip
Also, a photo of the tilt that you see onscreen.
What was the last thing you entered in the setup before the tilt?
Post exact details please.

I'm still having problems stepper setup bb1 after i do the ram clear and shut down and put OS chip back in and waiting for it to boot to call attendant screen it goes in to game tilt and i can't figure why, anyone with ideas?

Take a photo of the screen when it hangs and post.

I see this is related to your other post. Please do not open a new post when the problem is related. It is hard to follow troubleshooting steps. It appears the error may be related to your top light circle device. Based on the error that I can see, it is not initializing the serial port in the top box. You should check to make sure the top ring light's controller is connected. It should be a small rectangular board inside the top box that drives the light ring.

yeah, i kept getting an error on the post and couldn't get out of it, i tried at least 10 times.
Anyway the deal is that the machine was working just fine how it was but the printer was not enabled and i wanted to start using it and get it ready for a tito so i did a clear and attempted a setup. Now it goes in to tilt at 81 percent of loading getting ready to go to the actual setup. The topper on the cabinet works fine all the lights work and when it goes to bonus everything is functional. I will open it up and get a look inside and see if anything is suspect.
