Title: Usb sound disconnected

Here's one that started happening all of a sudden. Game plays for a good 20 mins then shows "USB disconnected error". I was under the impression I had a bad port on the CPU so I tried several others and got the same result. Tried swapping cables for known working cables and cleared and got same result. Every time I've made a change I've cleared and got the same result.

I see a board on the inside of the machine to the right that the cable runs to and I'm wondering if that can be the problem. I've never had to replace one of these boards so I'm not sure if they're available to purchase.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next or think that the next step is replacing that board or where I can find it?

By the way that 2nd board in the pics is on the left side of the machine and might be totally irrelevant to this matter.

1st pic is the sound amp. Is usb plugged in all the way? Board in 2nd pic is the LED lite controller.

The top photo is the sound amplifier. Here's a not so secret trick.  Clear the machine and boot with the USB sound plug disconnected from the mpu and setup the game again. the sound will work, but you will lose the ability to control the sound from the player panel, you can control it through the attendant menu.  Just never connect the USB plug.  Your USB interface on the amp board might be going bad, perhaps a cap or something is going bad, but you can run the machine as stated above.

I have had USB cables go bad. Just a thought. USB is not the most reliable cable.

I tried swapping cables. Thanks for the help on this. That did the trick. Error is gone. I had to play for awhile to be sure. I’ll buy the board once l find it for a long term solution but this does the trick for now.
