Title: 16 mhz clear chip

do these board have their own clear chip for the higher clock spd ??
i have a 16 mhz board that wont clear i get up into the 30s then it goes to 8008
after reboot with game rom I have 0  7 
obviously its not clearing

I think you have to use a high speed chip for 16mhz boards.  Minimum 100ns or faster as I recall.  Are you using a SET90 chip to clear?

I have always used the the same clear chip as I use for a 10 meg board, HOWEVER, 16 meg boards require a special SP chip, I usually use a 1272.

not sure what it is file name is "splusclear" your guess is as good as mine... its worked in the past but i never messed with a 16mhz

Yeah, not an original set chip then.  Peel the label back and see what the speed is of the chip, but you should be using a set90 to clear it.

Using a 90 still won’t clear
When powered on I get
Win paid 0. 00.       Coin play 8
After hitting test
Wp 7. 70.               CP 8
Not acting like any of the others I’ve ever done

determined that board has issues, ill deal with that another time ....... I have a good 10m board here I put a 1271 and a 6623 in it which should be fine in that and I keep getting a 62-1 I cant get past ......

I'm only assuming that you're closing the door before turning the reset key?
I didn't see if that was stated?

[62-1] will NOT clear with the door open.
