I read on here about different types of Alpha. Type 2 & 3. What is the difference?

Those refer to the gaming types.  Bingo (central determination) gaming is class II.  The Vegas style with the RNG is a class III.  Usually native American casino's use type II, which is nothing more than a glorified bingo game.  We typically only talk about class III gaming in general as these are the ones in Vegas style casinos.

Some states only allow class II machines as well i.e. Alabama etc.
