I am changing my s2000 from titanic to super spin sizzling sevens. There are two 12 pin connectors one male and one female coming from the back of the #4 reel. If you have this machine, please let me know where they need to be plugged into. :Scratch-Head: :hail:
Actually the plugs are coming from the back of the chaser lights that surround the 4th reel.
-
If I'm not mistaken those go back to the motherboard
-
The male plug goes to the mother board marked spare senet it is the 3rd plug down on the left side the female is a plug that splits and goes to the power supply and the top box. P.B.
-
Thanks for the photos PB
I am starting to get a sinking feeling that I might not be able to use this kit.
The plug on the motherboard is filled and I don't have an open plug around the power supply
-
I'm a little confused the pictures you posted look like the inside of my five real machines . Is This a three real machine now.
-
It was a titanic 3 reel game. That is how I bought it. I don't know if it was a five reel before becoming a three reel game
-
My mistake I just noticed that you're using an enhanced board machine .my machine is 500 series completely different i'm sure it's doable with the right harness . Sorry I'm dead in the water for you. P.B.
-
Chuck, the enhanced backplane still has the Spare SENET where PB said it was. Just checked my machine and see that it is occupied. I would have to trace that wiring to see where it goes. I believe it goes to the top box were it is plugged into the distribution board.
PS that machine was always a 3 reel machine.
-
But I would still have one plug unaccounted for
What if I unplugged the senet plug, plugged the reel 4 plug into the motherboard, then the plug that came out of the mb would plug into the other reel plug (I did this this morning but haven't turned the machine on yet)
-
The game starts up but I'm getting this error
Aux reels disconnected.
Searching on the old site brought this solution
Connect a jumper to pin 14c of cabinet I/O to A ground.
What do I need to do next? I have not done that before.
-
Where did you end up connecting that cable to?
-
The only option I had was to unplug the cable from the senet, plug the reel 4 harness in that spot, then plug the cable I unplugged from the senet into the other part of the reel 4 harness
-
I am getting an aux reel disconnected error on my super spin sizzling sevens. I am changing from 3 to 4 reel. The first three reels spin up and come ready. My I/O board is 75427631rev a and door I/O card is 75427801 rev b. Do I need a different I/O board to get the 4th reel running?

There is a jumper that has to be installed for bonus reel use
IT is in the harness main harness near the motherboard
2 pin white molex connector with black with red stripe and green with gray stripe wires
-
Thanks for the reply foster.
I have only 1 two wire molex not connected. It has a yellow and orange wire. I also see two spots where it might go (see pics)
Hopefully this is the right plug and I just need to know which connector it goes to.
-
That is not the connector. It is a molex minifit jr type connector. It is rectangular with a pin on one edge for the mating connector to join it. It is buried within the myriad of cables immediately to the right of the mpu box.
-
Thanks rick
I will keep looking
-
I found the plug
Just making sure that it plugs into the top spot on the mb
-
What Rick and Foster stated is correct. I remember doing this some time back on coversions. Also the 4th bonus reels has two harnesses on it from my memory. One going to backlit board and other incorporated into reel harness. The jumper is KEY though. Your harness in machine needs to support it as well. Again from my memory I ran into a problem with a early vision game conversion (99/2000) on the cab. wiring harness.

Just to be sure here, the plug does not go to the motherboard, but you short it out with a jumper?
Correct??? :Scratch-Head:
The jumper is KEY though.

Hello,
I am on holidays and therefore I do not have the machine in front of me, but, if I remember, 777sizzler is right concerning the wiring.
On my machine, (see this message: http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=25005.msg197952 # msg197952 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=25005.msg197952 # msg197952) ) the harness is for a 5 reel.
On the harness:
The first three reel are connected to the first 3 connectors.
The 4th reel connector received a jumper wire http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=10180.0 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=10180.0)
And the 5th reel connector plugs into the BONUS reel.
However, I cannot remember, where you plug the second connector that comes from the BONUS reel.

Now that I found the mystery plug, what do I need to do with it?
Does it plug in somewhere? Couldn't find a place where it would plug into.
-
Put a jumper on it, i.e. put a wire so that both sides are contacting each other. Here's a linke to the old thread that explained the whole 3 to 3+1 reel changeover. There are pictures of both the connector and the jumper.

Success. 4th reel is operational. Thanks to everyone that contributed. Just one other issue but I will start another thread if I can't find the answer in previous threads.
