Title: Payout coins falling inside...
Post by: modessitt on September 02, 2014, 09:10:12 AM
Got a customer with a Sigma Video Poker slant-top machine.  When paying out, the coins fall inside the machine.  They are getting to the top of the escalator, but aren't going down the chute to the pay area.

With the top closed, there is a small gap between the escalator guide bullet and the top bracket - maybe 1/4-3/8".  Pushing down on the door doesn't make it get closer.

Watching while paying out, it looks like the quarters are falling out the side or the back of the escalator instead of entering the chute.  Perhaps it is missing a piece there?  I tried wrapping thin cardboard around it with duct tape and got a couple coins to pay out properly but then it pushed the cardboard out of the way and fell inside.  Perhaps the chute on top is too wide for the escalator and the quarters are falling out instead of staying in the chute?

I tried finding pics online of the escalator and chute but have had no luck.  Anyone have any pics or ideas on how to solve this problem?

Customer bought the machine online and the seller said "It worked fine before it left.  Must be the shippers'."
