Hi, it’s me again with my IGT s2000 Double Diamond slot machine won’t do nada. I removed the green Verta battery when I first got her back in 2018 for my high school graduation. Her CR 3202 coin battery ran low so I replaced it tonight.
. Then I put the MPU back in, followed her directions after it said “Ram ERROR.” Now I’m stuck on “Please Close the main door.” I already tried connecting and re-connecting each harness. I did the “Beatle Juice” trick where I opened and closed the latch 3 times
After that, I reseated the MPU along with the door connections and harnesses all with the power off. Nada. Still a sad little slot machine lol. Powered the thing back up. Someone suggested that I whack the chrome a few times to see if there’s a loose wire. WHACK. Whack. WAAAAAAAACK. Nada.
Afterwards,I unplugged the machine to see if a good power cycle would do the trick. Nope. Wleoxke to my life

Here is the photo of the machine:

Could we see inside the machine with the door open? :sherlock:
There's no reels installed. :scratch-head_3:

It's working now. She had texted me the problem, then posted here then forgot to post the resolution.
I had her check to make sure the door was latched. Then the Varta issue... luckily no battery! Had her open/close door a few times to see if the error cleared, which it didn't. Then I had her check the door optics. And... YEP... dust in them! It's working now. :applause:
I don't know what game theme she has either! I'm sure it's an I game though.

How in the world did you get it to work without any reels, bill acceptor, or coin mech, and a Twinkies box on top??? :rotfl:
oh...Duracell doesn't even make CR3202 batteries?
-
I don't know why I said I-game - I was still running on only half a cup of coffee. :fryingpan:
She put it all back together. She took those shots while she was troubleshooting before contacting me.
I'll get her to post the complete machine.

I need a smiley of someone pulling your leg.... :24:

The machine is still snapped in half. Gor the reels back in. Turns out I needed to blow the optic sensors to get the dusted off. That little puff of air went a long ways. Did the ram clear and WHA-LAAA….BROKEN LOL.
This thing doesn’t even read that the reels are inside of it. And they spin upon start-up. Now it says that the main door is wide open despite it being shut. It also says that the “reels are disconnected” despite them spinning and landing on the correct combinations whenever I run the “pay table test.”

Here’s some pictures of the broke thing:

Door optics are not lined up or not working. Need to get to door shut state to clear the reel error.
-
As Bunker said, optics issue or failed optics. Do you have another S+ or S2000 you can borrow optics from?
-
Unfortunately not, she is my only IGT S200. I am moving the door around to see how I can get it to read as closed rather than wide open. Where can I purchase new optics?

Place a WTB ad in the Classifieds section of NLG?...>>>
https://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?board=4.0
When you go there, hit the blue button that says "New Topic", and tell people you want a set of door optics.
Hopefully a vendor/ member will spot it, and sell you a set!

It's been my experience that we are far to fast to yank the optics out of a machine. Check the belly door switch, tie it off then try to close the main door again.
-
:agreepost:
I've yet to have an optic go bad on any of my machines except for one I broke the wire off of. If they came with optics, they all still have them.
-
How do I tie off the belly door switch?
-
open the belly glass door. the switch is located in the upper left corner of the opening. it's usually a brown switch with a plunger (there is another work for the switch but everybody is too sensitive these days) splice those 2 wires together.

Thanks and I’ll try that. I’m currently looking for electrical tape

Home Depot or Target. :)

Thank and I did that. The thing is still cursed. It now says “Door Open M” and “Reels disconnected” despite opening and closing the door. I’m back at trying to fix this thing for an art project I’m getting ready to do

Hi what should I try next when it comes to the door not being read as closed? Thank you everyone for your time
