Title: 2002 Sigma SG-300 - Hopper Runaway error code
Post by: danatlvc on July 23, 2015, 07:45:31 AM
Howdy all,
I'm picked up my 1st Sima machine here, so Im totally green  :Scratch-Head: When I turn the machine on it lights up & the bill acceptor cycles & then all 3 reels turn slowly a full turn then it says SELF TEST & then GAME LOADING & then I get HOPPER RUNAWAY error & it doesn't matter if the hopper is in or out of machine, so I assume it's not the hoppey? The hopper pinwheel was froze when I purchased the machine, it had a quarter jammed on the side of the wheel so it wouldn't move a hair. The Manual says to replace the POB or PCB on the CPU? Does anybody know what that is? The battery had leaked & needs replaced.  Nice clean machine I'm hoping to get up & running. There doesn't seem to be too many people familiar with SIGMA machines. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Dan

You do not need the battery on this board. You could remove the battery,
and on switch #2 the dip no. 7 should be turned ON so the machine will not be looking for the condition of the battery. I have a few of these boards with no battery at all.
I can email you a manual if you would like to try it.
Jim.

Thanks Jim that would be great
I sent you a PM with my email
I did dip 7 & it then it tells me a dip swithch has been chanegd & to turn the reset key & nothing happens when I turn it? Moved the switch back & it went away
This is a cool looking machine & I'd love to get it up & running hopefully someday

I wish to thank Jim for emailing me a much needed manual for these SG 300 series games. It is good to have such helpful and knowledgeable people in these forums.
