I ran threw all kinds of issues with getting future logic gen 2 rs-232 printers to work with my alphas. It turns out to be a firmware issue. You must have the correct firmware as well as the correct printer. Not all rs-232 are the same. I now have the correct firmware and the uploader program to flash the gen2 printer.If you have an alpha and are having printer issues, contact me for help.

Hi, Im having problems setting up my bally alpha 1 gen 2 printer. Hee haw machine. in printer setup gen 2 is not listed. Can you help with this issue. Thanks.

Select Future Logic for printer type.

gen2 is not listed on the printer options page. game doesn't see it.

As Rick says above, Select Futurelogic, Gen 2 is Futurelogic.

Bally Alpha printing ok with GEN 2 -RS232. I have replaced it for GEN2U and works fine but the bar code is not in correct place and covers some information. Thanks and let me know.

That's not bally firmware for a gen2u, should be something like GUR00xxxx. I have no idea what your firmware is used for. Please do not pm me for firmware, I don't have it. I only have information gathered from gaming jurisdictions.
