Title: WMS BB1 Hitcock photo needed
Post by: mn.roadking on November 04, 2016, 12:55:00 PM
Can someone provide me with a good high res photo of the upper glass for a WMS Hitchcock? I don't believe I will find one and will have to make it.

I made a generic that works for everything.

That's really cool, I have the blank plexiglass, but have no idea how to get the printing on it. Can you share how you did it?
Thanks Jim

I cut the plexiglass to fit the machine making sure everything fit ok.  I then took it to the local sign shop and they made up the overlay, actually came out pretty good.  I have since converted the machine to a tall top box with monitor.

I also went to a local sign shop to have mine made up.
I took a WMS blue belly glass so they could use that as a template for the logo.
This is the final design that was made. very happy with it.

That's exactly what I would like to do, did you remove the compact fluorescence lights  on the sides as well?

Yes, I took the side bulbs out.
I like the light just showing at the top.

What kind of material did they use for the overlay.  Is the overlay on the back or in front of the plexy?

Sign shop material, its a sticker similar to a bumper sticker.

Mine is on the front.

My overlay is a thin translucent vinyl, with a white backing.
It is attached to the back of the plexi with a thin clear tape on the top & bottom.
