Bally S6000 was fine.
Then battery went empty.
I changed battery and it worked fine.
Then I tried to change the denomination and after Ram Clear there is now 91FF error on the led display. Test button does nothing? So I can’t get in to the configuration side. I have tried with diferent dip1 settings without any help.
I set dips as they were when the machine was working and made Ram Clear again. Still 91FF...
I have read that this is somekind of communication error?
What should I try next?
-
Check your power supply voltages.
-
They are fine. 5,27v
-
Do you have a bonus wheel on top? FF is Feature Fault
-
What type of clear chips are you using? Leave in clear chips or the removeable type clear chips?
-
They are fine. 5,27v
It requires +5V, +12V, and -12V to work properly, see attached for test points.
-
No there is no bonus wheel, no jackpot, no anything.
I tried ram clear first with dip switch 8. Then I tried with two ram clear chips that I changed U28 and U43. I made CLC clearing. Still 91FF.
Then I tried with all dip set 1 off and 8 on, after that I got 91NC.
Then I found that behind the reals there is Bally slot comm board. I took connectors off from that. Then i got 3.1 and after that 9.1FF error...

I tested all voltges from those test points
5,27

Try unplugging the two RAM chips and swapping them in their sockets. Top one to the bottom socket, bottom one to the top socket then do a clear procedure with the LEAVE IN Easy Clear chips.
Then leave those clear chips in the board forever.
-
Can you post a picture of the clear chips you are using?
-
There is two types of clear chips, the set that you install and leave in permanently and use the dip switch #8 to do a clear, and then removeable type which remove the factory mains , install the clear chips , do a clear procedure NOT using the dip switch and then remove the clear chips and reinstall the factory mains and finish the setup. It matters which ones you have and the steps to complete the clear.

Hello. I have both types of clear chips and I have tried both ways. The end result is the same.
There is a Bally Mastercom-220 board behind the reels and it is connected to this S6000 machine. Should I take that board and its cables away. Maybe that mastercomm board has something to do with this 91ff and 91nc errors??
-
If you don't need it remove it. I don't think that is your problem though.
Where did you purchase the clear chips from?
Did you try swapping the RAM chips in their sockets?
Worst case send the board to my shop so I can get it going.
-
Hi! What are the numbers (U? And U?) of those RAM chips that I should swap?
-
U45 and the one above it.
-
I swapped rams and made a ram clear with dip se 8. First I got 83F0. Then I made a nee Ram clear and I hot 91FF again.
I also too Ballycom-220 board and all its cables away.
Buy still 91FF... and I can’t go to the setup menu at all...
Are there some jumpers on the board that make 91FF or what shouldnI do. I have made RAM clear probably now 40 times with different dip settings, buy nothing helps. And two weeks ago this was a fully working machine after the battery change...
-
Maybe you should send the board to my shop.
-
Where are you? I am in Europe and it took 4-5 weeks to get clear rams from the JJ Slots and all the customs etc. It will take a long time. What do you think. Could you sell virtual fixing so you can tell what I should do and test and I can follow your instructions. I have very good equipment and knowledge...
Is there some list ofnjumpers somewhere?
-
www.slotmachinerepair.com (http://www.slotmachinerepair.com) free downloads of "helpful PDF's" are some sheets on settings.
-
This problem started when you changed dip switch settings. What are all settings on all 3 dip switches? Post a list of each switch 1-8 of the positions.
-
Original dip switch were (when it was working):
DIP1; on-on-off-off-on-on-on-off
DIP2: off-on-off-off-on-off-on-on
DIP3: off-off-on-off-off-on-off-on

Problem solved!!!
I put all DIP1 switches on and took bill validator away and made Ram Clear (dip 8 on kind of). After that it started well without 91ff. I made settings through 11d menu and put bill validator back and ta-daa, everything works fine!!!
Thank you all for your help!!!!
