Title: s+ looking for 12v to power an accessory

hey guyz....i am hooking a remote control board to my max bet button but it needs 12v to work....to my dismay i can't find a 12v source in the coin door.....any suggestions?  its been awhile since I worked on an s+

A bill validator power supply has a 12/13vdc output.

The door has +VB ( approx 11.5VDC ) - I measured it on just one of my machines and got approx 9.6 VDC.  Not sure if this will work.

Here are the Appendix page 21 of the S+ manual and page 5 PS from the download section - you are a contributing member you can download from the site.

The MPTE-12 is a 12 V TVS diode so the voltage should not go above 12 VDC.

RB is right about the BV PS - run a couple wires from it to the door where you need 12VDC. May be more reliable.

You could also use a wall wart power supply plugged into the 110v service outlet on the power supply. Note if you go that route that the power supply will be on any time the machine is plugged into the wall, regardless if its switch is on or off.
