Anybody have experience with Super Continental EM machines?
891-1
Searching for detailed wire schematics or any information you guys may have on repairing this unit.

Kelly:
There have been many threads on that game. Perhaps search the archives or the old site. I bet there were at least 10 topics covered.
Good luck

Thanks for giving me that heads up.

Is there a trick to logging in to the old archives?
I tried logging in and it didn’t recognize me and then when I tried to register it came back and told me registration was disabled now.
-
It's not possible to log in on the old archives, just have to read thru all 11 pages to find the topic you are looking for. Old archives are a wealth of information.

This is a Google advanced search of the old site. Hopefully this can help. I searched for "Super Continental"
https://www.google.ca/search?as_q=&as_epq=Super+continental&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&lr=&cr=&as_qdr=all&as_sitesearch=Newlifegames.net&as_occt=any&safe=images&as_filetype=&tbs= (https://www.google.ca/search?as_q=&as_epq=Super+continental&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&lr=&cr=&as_qdr=all&as_sitesearch=Newlifegames.net&as_occt=any&safe=images&as_filetype=&tbs=)
Thanks,
Wayne

you can poke around or just ask about specific issues.
if you wanted a general book on maintenance of bally EM slots, the only one that's really worth getting is the "owners pictorial guide to the bally slot machine" by geddes/mead. It's available new for around $45, so don't pay crazy inflated prices.
documentation for the 891-1 can be found on https://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/
the 891-1 had a couple versions ... one with jones plugs and one with molex plugs. The schematic is the w-1046-xxxx file.
there's also a bally_manuals/ folder with a bunch of the parts diagram books in pdf as well as a couple general info manuals.
having said all that, what's the issue with your machine? Pictures help a lot, but can be annoying to post here due to size limitations. Video can be even better, but you'd have to put them on a file sharing site.

Do you mind if I send you pictures to your email? Thanks again for the help

sure, send them to slotpics@cdyn.com. I can resize ones and repost here for other people's input.

problem #1 - an overkill approach to disabling the count unit
however, the count unit is just used for recording jackpots on a meter, so it doesn't really need to work.
