Help needed. S2000 Bill acceptor issue

I am working on a Super Mag 7 IGT S2000. Game was working and taking bills. I wasn’t getting sound and RB was helpful to tell me it had to have a MML board. So I added it today and I got the sound and then it all of a sudden wouldn’t take a bill. The BV cycles. I can open the head and it will run. I cleaned the head. I checked the plugs. I tried swapping 2 other known working BV and transports out of S2000 that sit next to it. I even tried doing a clear chip and key chip and resetting the game. I swapped out stacker boxes from the working games to try that. No errors showing. No mismatch. Even when it wasn’t taking bills it still had some credits and played fine. What else should I try?

Solution:  The sound was not having the right Simm card and the MML board in for sound.

The BV issue was it wasn't recognizing the BV.  Got new BV from Jim and boom it recognized it and runs like a charm.

Does it even take the bill in?  Does the bill guide light come on to signify the validator is ready to accept the bill?

Did you run an auto-config on netplex to see if it finds the validator?

Menu option 4.3.  If you don't know how to go through menus watch this video toward the latter 1/2.  Whenever he goes off-screen to save the option or back up a menu he is hitting maxbet button.

On top of that I am getting a call attendant, closure M and printer door open error on screen. I can open and close the door. Reels spin and the errors come right back up. I tried a complete clear, key and reset on the game and still the same stuff. Ideas?

closure M you should get, it means you closed the main door, it goes away when you play a game, as far as the printer door open issue, means the printer is not slid all the way back into it's operating position, or you have a bad printer.  I suggest your unplug the printer to see if the game will play.  Your bill acceptor may not have the right firmware for your machine.  It needs to have IDO024.

Replaced the BV with one from Jim and it recognized the BV and runs like a champ. So must have been the software in the BV not matching.

Sound was just not knowing that this particular game had to have a MML with Simm.
