Title: Bally Liberty ball 6000 coin problem
Post by: luvreno on October 13, 2014, 09:48:42 AM
bally liberty ball 6000 game works great accept for a coin problem, it is sporatic, a coin will go through the comparitor & not register on the coin counter on front glass, you never now what it will happen, might be every 10 to 15 coins or less.  I have swapped out a good coin compartor & the lower optics board, it makes no difference.  I have traced the wiring back to mother board & reseated plug in, makes no difference.  I haven't tried swapping out boards yet, its for home play so its not that big of a deal, just annoying.

I forgot to mention the coin that doesn't register goes in the hopper, it does not fall through to coin tray.

Sounds like the sensitivity on the coin comparator. Back off the sensitivity a tad and see if it helps.

adjusting the sensitivity makes no difference, when the coin goes through the comparator & is not counted as a credit it goes to the hopper. Like I earlier explained there is no rime or reason, you never no when it will happen. maybe the 5th time or 12 time.  When it goes straight through it doesn't make the dong.

Check your optics block sounds like it is too large for the coin you are using letting some coins to go by the optics and not get counted.

Pbwizard was correct the block was for a larger coin, changed out block, works perfect now.
