Title: I am so lost…
Post by: Opsincity on September 20, 2022, 08:03:14 PM
I have been on this site for a few months. I’ve had had machine for about a year, moved and now i turn it on and it short cycles(shuts down then turns back on). From my very little electric experience i feel like it’s a capacitor issue or a ground possibly fuse issue. no idea how to take this apart or what i’m working with. I thinks it’s a 3802 board but no idea. Gonna attach what pics i have please help i’m in vegas so if i need to bring something somewhere i will and will buy beer!

It sounds like the power supply is failing.  If it has a 3802 board it's probably an older 13" or 19" game king cabinet and wrking power supplies for them can be difficult to find.  Post a picture of the cabinet and the interior of the machine.

Yep, that's a 17" cabinet alright.  They have electronic fluorescent lamp ballasts for the the top and belly glass that can cause the problem you describe when they fail.  Easiest way to test that is disconnect one, power it up and see if it quits power cycling on its own or not and then the other.  If both them are good then I'd replace the power supply.  The power supplies for that model are readily available and pretty cheap.

Just curious, what are the AC power cords in the bottom going to?  They aren't normally there.
