No Signal Input
« on: September 05, 2022, 09:48:05 AM »
My 3902 Game King has developed a major problem.  Upon start up I get an error message that reads NO SIGNAL INPUT then the screen goes dark.   Then about every 3 seconds the upper and lower florescent lights blink.  I have tried re-starting several times but get the same results. Thanks in advance for helping….I appreciate.

Please help....I am stumped.  After looking at a previous post from July 2016 with the same problem I disconnected the  fans, candle, florescent ballasts, tried it with a different MPU, pulled out the monitor, pulled out the BV and keep getting  the same result.  Here's what happens.  On start up after a few seconds it shuts down and I get the "No Signal Input" message then it keeps trying to start but shuts of then back on.  This keeps happening  in 3 second intervals.

I don't see where you replaced the power supply, have you done that?

I have not replaced the power supply.  I'm hoping that something else is causing the problem as I don't have an extra power supply to install.  I noticed in a post from 2016 he had a clogged up fan causing the same error code.  Mine must be different.

The usual culprit is this case is the power supply. If this is the 17" monitor 3902 cabinet they are easy to replace. If you are handy with a soldering iron replacing the caps in the power supply will bring many back to life.

I have never pulled a power supply out of a Game King cabinet so how is it done?  I don't see any mounting screws just a knob thing on the left side.  Please advise...

the knob has a screw in the center, get a stubby screwdriver and unscrew it

It can be recapped. DIY or PM Trisail. He has done several for me.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

PM me if you need caps or want me to do it.

Tony

You can fix almost any electronic device by replacing the aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
