There is an older Game King for sale on Craigslist

The listing contains many photos including one of the machine's metal tag showing the model number, serial number and date of manufacture.  The date of manufacture says 10/97, which would make the machine 23.5 years old, or one and a half years shy of being California legal.     

Did they start making Game Kings that far back or has someone switched a number plate from another, older machine and put it on this one?  I tried Googling the model number on the plate and just came up with pictures of physical reels and parts.

That's an early 19" Game King alright.  The first ones went into production in the 1996/97 time frame.
