Title: Lighting help Bally Classic
Post by: BrianM on January 15, 2017, 09:57:13 AM
Picked this one up off of CL last week. Working nice except can't get the third coin in to light up in the top. The bell does sound.   Any thoughts on items to check.   Photos to follow.  These are not the machine for those with big hands

Not sure what type of step up unit is in this machine, but might need to have contacts cleaned.
Also check for broken wires.

Also you could un-solder  the 2nd and 3rd wires and move the 2nd wire to the 3rd position.
This will eliminate a bad circuit on the third coin lights if it works.

The photo of the back side of the feature unit shows printed circuits for the lighting. Was that unique to the Bally Classic or was it used in other late models of EM's? Anyone have an idea?

I see 6 Classic models listed, all noted as EM's.  I think all designed by games of neveda for mgm casino.

In listings of solid state, dont see any Classics.  Think they were a short run. Also, The Classics were just about the last of EM's made.   Probably the switch to solid state and print circuits was in progress and the Classics got print circuit boards for their feature lights due to this.

My 2 cents.
