Title: Bally 6000 sound board question
Post by: ucanwin on April 26, 2024, 04:13:47 PM
Hi,
I have a question, and I'm sure that one of you knowledgeable members can help me understand my problem.
I have a Bally 6000 Beach Party slot machine that has sound when a hand pay is made, but when a BONUS
symbol comes up on the reels there is no sound for that feature. The feature goes through the motions, and puts
up credits, but there is NO sound. This machine has a sound board on the upper left side of the cabinet with a U-3
chip number PS00000GNRC2-00 BMB 01/22/01  2001  L01-0515 in it. The person that I bought the machine from
told me that this is a generic chip that someone put in the machine, and it is not the correct one. Well.....my
question is....generic or not, shouldn't there be some sort of sound when entering the BONUS feature on this machine?
Is it possible that the board itself might be a problem? Does the sound on a hand pay originate from this board, or is
there a chip on the main board that creates that sound? Someone please enlighten someone who is not smarter than a fifth grader.
Best regards, and thanks for any comments on this issue. :EmoticonHelp4: :Scratch-Head:

Come on guys, isn't there anyone on this form that can answer my questions?
Also looking for  SMI chips 9716 or 9717 for this machine with no replies. Do I have the one and only Bally Beach Party slot machine?
Help is desperately needed. Thanks to anyone that replies.

The sound chip, I don't know if there is a list for those sound chips, and to find a board with the chip will be difficult most likely. Not sure if there is files for those sound chips?  I've never seen your title before. As far as SMI chips , maybe someone will chime in.

I am very disappointed in the lack of response to my questions. First of all, isn't there even one person on this site that has a Bally 6000 Beach Party slot??? Do I have the only one ever made? Does anyone have a flyer on this model? Does anyone have SMI 9716 or SMI 9717chips? Are there any members out there that know anything about the Bally 6000 slots with bonus features? Should there be any sound when a Bonus feature comes up? Anybody????
Why is there a membership charge when NOBODY can help with a problem???????????

Nobody gets paid to answer your questions this is all volunteers. The money goes to running the site. It doesn’t matter how many times you ask the same question. There are very few people that can even make a sound chip and probably fewer that have many files. I personally have had over a 1000 Bally 6000 and have never seen that title. Google is free.

Thank you for your reply.
I guess that since I have a 1 year guarantee on the machine, I will be returning it at the next Chicagoland Show since it is basically unfixable.
Best regards,
Jerry
