My S2000 shows a RFA error on the top screen.

Looks like a touch screen to me. Similar to a vision. On the vision platform quite often the data card in the side slot has the RFA on it. If it did and you still have it try inserting it to update the RFA. Qbert will chime in, he is the touch screen expert

Reel Touch machine, appears to be the Hard drive.
Bios 1 hard drives can not be reviewed with a windows based computer.
Did this just happen when you turned it on or did you attempt to look at the contents of the hard drive with a windows based computer?
If it just happened the hard drive has probably gone bad. If it is the second issue the HD will need to be reprogrammed.
Has the machine been working or is it new to you.
We can get you up and running.

The machine had been worked on 2 years ago for the same issue it worked and then was turned off for 6 months when restarting it this error appeared.
Where would a hard drive be I did not see anything where the cpu board is located.

The HD is located in the top box inside the monitor box.
OK the HD may have froze up from sitting for a long period of time. Also the coin battery in the top box also may need replacing (although I don't think this is your problem).
Try reseating the plugs going to the back of the top box, sometimes after being off for a long time a little corrosion forms.
Open the top box and see if you can hear the HD spinning up. Try a few light taps on it that might wake it up, do this while it's on and listen if you hear it spin up. Key word light taps. If you do hear it spin up turn the machine off and recycle the power switch and see what happens.

Before you replace the battery you will need and old computer keyboard with the small purple ps2 plug so you can set the bios information in the top box computer. The battery needs to be at least 2.9 volts any less replace it. After battery replacement plug in the keyboard ps2 plug located on the side of the top box. Turn on the machine and keep hitting the delete key until the computer bios screen comes up. Set the time and date and save, then save "optimized defaults" and turn off machine. Remove the keyboard and reboot. probably won't fix your issue but at least you will have a fresh battery.

Report back after you try the first paragraph.

No CD should be in the machine this is normal.
Sounds like the hard drive has gone bad. PM me about a replacement if you need one.
