Hi All,
I was wondering, I'd like to add some additional lights (LEDs perhaps?) to this game to upgrade it a bit. I am going to change out the fluorescence bulbs, thats not a problem. But I'm wondering how I might go about these items.
1) I can simply add LEDs or other lights, but what I'd really like are blinking lights when the reals are spinning.
1a) I'd like additional lights to only be triggered during a win / jackpot.
2) Would it be possible to add some music to this machine, during standard play? I know I could hook up an arduino and just pipe it into the same speakers, but are there any other ways to do this?
So I guess - the ultimate question is not just where should I hook the lights up (i know there's an extra power plug out near the main switch), but really, how to get the lights to ALSO trigger during actions / etc. Can I tap into any existing wiring or jumper pins or code?
The machine is a 1993 Reel Gems S5500 (I think?)
Very new to the Slot Machine world, but I've worked with Computers and Electronics my whole life.
