Title: 960 Mother Boards
Post by: Amechanic on June 16, 2017, 07:41:41 PM
i have a question about the 960 Mother Boards. I see that the S2000 and I-Game/GK both use 960 Mother Boards, but the one in my GK says 960 Stepper/Video Mother Board, but the one for the S2000 just says 960 Mother Board. Are the interchangeable? Can a 960 for the S2000 work in GK, or the reverse a 960 Stepper/Video work in a S2000? I see the Stepper/Video has a bunch of resistor and diodes that are not on the 960.. Just wondering  :Scratch-Head: .

The stepper/video board will work in a S2000 with a 50x series MPU. Not sure about the other but if it works in I Games, I would certainly think Game King would be no exception since they are the same platform.

Thanks RB.. I was just courous. I didn't know if the Stepper/Video was a must use in a GK /I Game platform only, or if the other would work. The extra resistors and diodes made me think it was needed to operate the a video setup. Just didn't want to distroy a good board experimenting.

Thanks, Gary

There are a couple of different revisions of 960 motherboards, but they are interchangeable between S2K and I-Game/GK machines.
