Title: quarter pusher, coin pusher, stripped- need parts - identify
Post by: jgriner on June 19, 2022, 05:25:06 PM
ok, well here is my next project and its a big one, quarter pusher, that seems mostly stripped, has no branding (i think most dont.. come from china)

parts of this machine just don't make sense.

 1. appears to dispense tickets not quarters, Maybe for states with restrictive laws.  ticket dispenser missing.... cough so is the front door... all wins go to hopper/counter that dumps into main hopper/counter (to count coins as wins/dispense tickets i assume)
 2. over flow goes into own hopper/counter then dumps into main hopper/counter  (to count coins as profit coins, there is a counter I assume)
 3. here is the part i don't get, why is the main hopper/counter a COUNTER how to you count coins that just sit in a bucket, your basically just stirring the coins around.
4. any ideas on what parts might fit this machine, how to convert to normal quarter dispenser.
why are each counters a different brand?

It sounds like this came from an arcade - most arcades - like Chuckee Cheese would have all of their games converted to ticket out.
Its possible that your bucket is there to catch quarters so they don't dispense to a coin tray.

If you simply google Quarter Pusher Parts you will get a number of links.

Do you know the manufacturer - ie internal tag ? McGregor was a common one.
