Title: IGT S2000 Clear procedure in a TEST machine and then install original Machine

I have recently cleared a family members IGT S2000 board in my machine, they are both 5-5-2 displays. I configured the accounting, multi denom, ticket  printer etc.


The problem starts when I place the board back in his machine. I loose all the pre-configured parameters.


Other than programming the board in his actual machine, is there any other way to pre program his board so I can just drop it in his machine?

All those settings are stored on the mother board NOT the MPU.

You would have to also take the EEPROM chip from the backplane board to allow what you are trying to do.
Easier to just program the board in the machine you are going to use it in. Logistically I know that causes problems trying to set up a machine in a home far away with someone that does not have the experience of programming one.
Easier to walk them through on the phone than to change the EEPROM on the mother board. Just my opinion.

The eprom is in the back board...  :banghead:

Or if they are capable of learning but just don't know how, you might walk them through it using skype or some other video chat service. The process isn't that difficult anyway and being able to watch and guide them might work

It was one of those weekends we were attending a birthday and I thought it would work like the S+, replace the battery and clear it and then plug it in... Just another learning curve....
