Title: Cal Omega 911 power supply board.
Post by: Edward301 on August 02, 2016, 06:56:25 PM
I have a 1987 CEI Win Super Jackpot machine that I have had for about 18 years, has always worked great,
recently I turned it on, and get lights, fan, but nothing else comes up.

In looking inside the machine, I get 12v led light, and 5v led light, but the green led for Serial DC is not
coming on, and on the cpu board 906III board the red led for Serial DC is not coming on either.

Fuses check good, but something not right.

Any ideas where to start.

I would start by taking every plug loose on the mother board and try reseating the plugs. Tin played connections can tarnish and loose their connection. Have you checked your fuses with a voltage meter or by eye? Fuses can just develop a hair line crack and not work, but still look good to the eye..

I removed the board, check all plugs, checked all fuses with a vom, and even replaced all 3 capacitors since they
were so old.  Still no serial dc.

Any idea what voltage the serial dc is.  I did check the bridge rectifier, and all diodes, which checked good.

I'm not too familiar with the 906 MPU. The ones I've seen and worked on are 903 & 904 boards.
